DIPLE is a compact and portable box containing a light source, a stage for samples/microscope slides and a sturdy metal plate with an optical system. To use it, simply place the objective of the smartphone on the optical system

Three version of magnifiers

Black 150x-1000x*

Magnification: 150x

providing 150x REAL magnifications – resolution of 0,7/0,8 micron – to see cell details, bacteria – working distance of 0.3 mm

Grey 75x-500x*

Magnification: 75x

providing 75x REAL magnifications – resolution of 1 micron – to see bacteria, cells, yeast, microorganisms (protozoans, rotifers, water bears…)… – working distance of 0.6 mm

Red 35x-200x*

Magnification: 35x

providing 35x REAL magnifications – resolution of 3 micron, field of view of around 1 mm – to see cells, microorganisms (protozoans, rotifers, water bears…) – working distance of 1.5 mm

These values must be multiplied by the digital zoom of your device, ensuring effective magnification of more than 1000x (without pixelation) and a detail of less than 1 micron (1/1000 mm)

Two Versions of Mechanical Stages

Fine Stage

The glass slide can be shifted by mechanical screws, for a precise search of microscopic targets.

The glass slide can be precisely moved under the objective lens, with a run of 5mm on the two perpendicular directions. This screw driven system allows for fine movement, while manual scanning of the sampe is the fastest way to find the region of interest of the sample to observe with the powerful Diple objective lenses.

Precise mechanical and magnetic parts guide the lens in the right position, in good alignment with the light source; a 3 steps component provides the right height to one edge of the Diple objective lens, for allowing a precise and user-friendly adjusting of the working distance.

Standard Stage

A simple mechanical support for your samples, where you can shift your slide manually for scanning your sample under the DIPLE lens.

This flat table has precise mechanical and magnetic parts to guide the lens in the right position, in good alignment with the light source; a 3 steps component provides the right height to one edge of the Diple objective lens, for allowing a precise and user-friendly adjusting of the working distance.

DIPLE Lux

The powerful magnifying lens for your smartphone

DIPLE LUX is made up of a DIPLE objective lens, plus a compact EXTRA LIGHT SOURCE for lateral illumination of the samples; a new system specifically designed to work on opaque subjects to observe the tiniest details of their surfaces, out of the DIPLE box.

This version of DIPLE has been released for responding the requests of many backers that asked for a DIPLE model to check microscopic details of thick, or non-transparent samples. DIPLE LUX has a light source connected to the objective tile and it does not need to be attached to the phone; these two features make DIPLE LUX a product compatible with all the phone models.
